Never having read "A Christmas Carol" and thoroughly enjoying Dickens' work, I hope to some day add this to my list of books read. My dh does not know it, but this very volume is waiting under the tree for him now. He's a Dickens fan too. :-)
Oh, what a great present! I read this book every year, and it never gets old. Though most people are only know this story through the gazillion movie adaptations, you are really missing something if you haven't read the original. Dickens' writing is simply superb.
